What was the highlight of Relais I Piastroni
Good location, but lots of space for improvement. Not very good value for the price.
Holiday resort in a small Tuscan town. The apartment has spacious rooms, two bathrooms, comfortable beds. Outside area is nice, the pool is ok - nothing special. It feels like the two-bedroom apartments are part of the "old" Piastroni and the spa area is the new Piastroni.
The apartments do not have air-conditioning or any other ventilation, so you have to open doors and windows. This is a bit of a problem, because there are no mosquito-nets on the windows, but there are really a lot of insects there. There are cats and dogs wondering around the resort, so you have to be careful not to step into their poop. On the last day you will be presented with a 55 € cleaning fee and local taxes, which are apparently not included in the price. You have to pay for it before you can check-out. It would be nice if someone mentioned this at the check-in. Also, we arrived late in the afternoon and we still had to wait for around 45 minutes because our apartments were not ready yet. There are things missing in the kitchen (cutlery, glasses, etc.). The water in the pool is full of chemicals, you have to avoid getting it in your mouth, nose or eyes. You have to pay extra if you want to use the other pools.

An ideal place for a couple wanting a peaceful weekend away.
Peaceful location, man of reception friendly and helpful. The view from breakfast is stunning. Easy to find
Very basic breakfast, nothing cooked apart from a hard boiled egg. No tea/coffee in the rooms.

Everything, from the perfect location, to the silence, the xtremely comfy rooms, the pools... Loved the place and will be surely back!

Great stay
Very friendly staff, especially at breakfast. Hygiene
Horseflies around the swimming pool. Unfortunately, this meant that you could not really lie by the pool without risk.
